Spring Vignette and Banner

Sharing with your friends!

Anyway, back to the point of this post.  I mentioned last week that I managed to get some decorating for Spring done.  I kept it pretty simple, as this is actually my first year to decorate inside.  Usually I just go crazy with potted arrangements and wreaths, as well as decorating my patio.  Well, instead of doing everything outside, this year I decided to make a little spring vignette and banner for inside.

The bar in my dining room is the perfect place to change out vignettes for each season, so that’s exactly what I did.  One of these days, I’ll have an actual fireplace mantle in our living room for more decor, but that project is on the back burner.

Spring Decor 2015-2

I love the natural light that comes in through the dining room window.

Everything in here was either something I already had, something I made, or something I picked up for cheap.  The birds and pink cage are from Michael’s that I got on sale.  The pitcher I picked up at Goodwill last year, and the frame I had on hand.

I added some moss and a few foam eggs to the little bird cage to add an extra touch.

I fell in love with this chalkboard from Target as soon as I saw it.  It was the only one left at the time so I snagged it up quick.  Have I ever told ya’ll how much I love Target’s dollar spot?

Moss and Burlap bunny

You can see how I made this moss covered bunny art HERE.  Those speckled eggs?  Yep, Target dollar spot.

Spring Banner

This little banner is something I threw together on a whim.  I had the burlap banner sitting in my craft closet begging to be used–it just needed something.  After the moss bunny fiasco, I wasn’t about to make a bigger mess by using more moss.  Instead, I went a completely different direction with the Easter shapes and pastel card stock.

When my husband saw it hanging from the stairs, he just shook his head.  He knows better than to question things anymore 🙂

How are you decorating your home for Spring?
