I know it’s only February, but I wanted to keep myself accountable and let you all know how I’ve been trying to keep up with my Goals for 2015.
Goal #1- Be More Active on Social Media
I’m not 100% where I want to be yet, but I’m getting there. I’m still putting most of my time and energy into Facebook and Pinterest, but I’m not ignoring Google + and Twitter. I’ll admit there are days when I get home from work and the last thing I want to do is sit down and share things on Social Media. I’m looking into different scheduling tools to at least help promote my content, but obviously a successful blogger doesn’t just talk about herself/himself all the time.
Goal #2- Post consistently 4 times a week by keeping to a schedule
I think I’ve been doing pretty good at posting at least 4 times a week. Maybe I haven’t stuck to my originally written schedule, but hey ideas and timelines change constantly.
Goal #3- Send out weekly email updates to susbcribers
This one I have already been successful with. I currently have a weekly email recap being sent out to all of my subscribers. I would like to branch off of this goal and send out more newsletters such as when I have giveaways going on, or more personalized notes. That one is still in the works.
Goal #4- Make blogging my full time job
This goal is going to take a lot longer than just a month in. Realistically I’m looking at more like the end of the year. As long as I am consistent and intentional in my writing and promoting.
Goal #1-Stick to Real foods
I’ve been doing better that I was when I made the goal, but not as good as I should be doing. I’m still buying convenience foods.
Goal #2- Have professional family pictures done
Nope. Need I say more? But really who wants pictures done in the middle of Winter–it’s not like Texas gets any snow for a pretty backdrop
Goal #3-Take charge of my health
We’re getting there! It’s going to be a long process, maybe longer than I really anticipated, but I’m getting there one step at a time.
Goal #4- Learn more about and start using Essential Oils
I am proud to announce that I started my EO journey on January 1st. Well, I placed the order for my Premium Starter Kit from Young Living that is. Since receiving my kit I have been using the oils topically and aromatically. I haven’t worked up enough courage (or knowledge) to ingest them yet, but I’m sure that is coming soon. I’ve been using Lavendar to help me sleep better, Peppermint for my chronic headaches, and it even helps with the congestion I’ve been having from all the Cedar pollen. I’ve also been using PanAway to help with my everyday aches and pains from being a Vet tech, as well as oils to help soothe some painful cat scratches. No cat scratch fever for this girl! I just ordered some new oils for this month, and can’t wait to try them out! If you are interested in learning more about Young Living, feel free to leave me a comment or email me!
