Valentine's Day Washi Tape Art

I wanted to share this quick and easy Valentine’s Day craft I made the other day.  I had this small (5″x7″) burlap canvas I got on clearance at Hobby Lobby back before Christmas just begging to be made into something.  I figured I could make it into an easy Valentine’s Day piece of art, but I didn’t want it to be something permanent.  Since I’m not one to really decorate for Valentine’s Day, I didn’t want to part with my little burlap canvas for this holiday.

How to Make Valentine’s Day Washi Tape Art

I’ve been collecting washi tape anytime I come across some on sale or clearance. My Target has even been having them in the dollar spot lately. I picked up a pretty black with white hearts, as well as a glittery red, thinking I could use it for something.

See how I keep my washi tape organized in this post

Supplies Needed:

burlap canvas with black and white heart washi tape in "x" shape and glitter red washi tape in a heart shape.

This Valentine’s Day Art was pretty simple to make! I just took two pieces of the black and white heart washi tape to make the “x”.  Instead of doing the “o” in the same tape, I decided a little heart would look cute in the glittery red.

See how simple this Valentine’s Day canvas was to make? And I can reuse the burlap for another season by simply removing the washi tape.

  5. How cute! Sometimes it’s the simple little projects that turn out to be favorites. I think the red heart instead of an O is a great touch. And, what a great idea for a temporary use of the burlap! You’ve given me ideas!
