I wanted to share this quick and easy Valentine’s Day craft I made the other day. I had this small (5″x7″) burlap canvas I got on clearance at Hobby Lobby back before Christmas just begging to be made into something. I figured I could make it into an easy Valentine’s Day piece of art, but I didn’t want it to be something permanent. Since I’m not one to really decorate for Valentine’s Day, I didn’t want to part with my little burlap canvas for this holiday.
collecting hoarding washi tape anytime I come across some on sale or clearance. My Target has even been having them in the dollar spot lately (score!) I picked up a pretty black with white hearts, as well as a glittery red, thinking I could use it for something.
I’m sure you’ve gathered where I’m going with this. I have a cheap burlap canvas that I don’t want to do anything permanent to, and some Valentine’s Day-ish colored washi tape. You guessed it. Valentine’s Day Washi Tape Art!
It really was pretty easy! I just took two pieces of the black and white heart washi tape to make the “x”. Instead of doing the “o” in the same tape, I decided a little heart would look cute in the glittery red.
So there you go folks. A pretty, quick, and cheap little Valentine’s Day art!
