Frosted Sugar Cookie Bars
An easy was to get the taste and texture of frosted sugar cookies, without the mess and frustration of rolling and cutting out the dough

For the Cookies

granulated sugar

. sour cream

vanilla extract
For the Frosting
1/2
cup
butter
, softened
4
cups
powdered sugar
1/4
cup
heavy cream
1/4
tsp
almond extract
1/2
tsp
vanilla extract
Food coloring of choice
(optional)
Instructions
For the Cookies
Preheat oven to 375 and grease a 9"x13" pan.
In a medium bowl combine flour, baking powder, and salt.
In the bowl of stand mixer, cream together butter and sugar.
Beat in egg until well incorporated.
Add in sour cream and vanilla until mixed.
Slowly add in dry ingredients and mix until combined.
Press batter into pan until spread out.
Bake for 15-20 minutes until edges turn golden brown.
Let cool completely before frosting.
For the Frosting
Cream together butter, cream and powdered sugar.
Add in vanilla and almond extracts, and food coloring if using.
Spread onto cookies evenly.
