Step 1

Slice jalapeno peppers into rounds, leaving membranes and seeds intact

Step 2

Fill 1 qt mason jar with peppers, leaving 1" head space

Step 3

In a small sauce pan, bring water, vinegar,  garlic, sugar and salt to a boil. Cook until sugar and salt are dissolved. remove from heat and let cool slightly.

Step 4

Pour liquid into mason jar with jalapenos leaving 1/2" of space on the top.

Step 5

Secure lid and ring on top, and place jar in the refrigerator.

Step 6

Pickles are ready to eat after 24 hours in the fridge.
