Ingredients

softened

sugar

reserved for flattening cookies
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375 and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or silicone mat.
In a medium bowl, combine butter and 1 cup of sugar. Add in eggs and vanilla, mixing well.
Mix in dry ingredients, adding flour 1 cup at a time and mixing thoroughly.
Drop dough by rounded teaspoons onto a cookie sheet.
Grease a flat bottomed glass with butter and dip in reserved 1/4 cup of sugar. Lightly flatten dough balls into rounded cookie shape
Bake for 10-15 minutes or until cookies are golden and slightly browned on the bottom.
Let them cool for about an hour on a cooling rack before eating.
