- 9 lasagna noodles , cooked and drained
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup diced onion
- 4 garlic cloves , minced
- 16 oz Tomato Sauce
- 1 tsp italian seasoning
- Salt and Pepper to taste
- 1 container cottage cheese
- 1 egg
- 2 cups shredded Mozzarella
Cook ground beef, onion and garlic, drain excess grease.
Add tomato sauce and seasonings to ground beef
In a medium bowl, combine egg and cottage cheese, mixing well (some prefer to add Parmesan cheese to mixture as well)
In a rectangular pan, spread small amount of sauce.
Layer1/3 noodles, 1/3 sauce, and 1/2 cottage cheese mixture. Repeat
Layer last 1/3 of noodles and sauce on top.
Sprinkle Mozzerella on top.
Cover, and bake at 350 for 30 minutes. Uncover and bake for 15-20 minutes more or until cheese is bubbled.
If freezing, place all layers in a foil baking pan and cover. Before cooking, thaw completely, and top with cheese. Follow baking instructions as normal.
