Lasagna

Ingredients

  • 9 lasagna noodles , cooked and drained
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 4 garlic cloves , minced
  • 16 oz Tomato Sauce
  • 1 tsp italian seasoning
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • 1 container cottage cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups shredded Mozzarella

Instructions

  • Cook ground beef, onion and garlic, drain excess grease.
  • Add tomato sauce and seasonings to ground beef
  • In a medium bowl, combine egg and cottage cheese, mixing well (some prefer to add Parmesan cheese to mixture as well)
  • In a rectangular pan, spread small amount of sauce.
  • Layer1/3 noodles, 1/3 sauce, and 1/2 cottage cheese mixture. Repeat
  • Layer last 1/3 of noodles and sauce on top.
  • Sprinkle Mozzerella on top.
  • Cover, and bake at 350 for 30 minutes. Uncover and bake for 15-20 minutes more or until cheese is bubbled.
  • If freezing, place all layers in a foil baking pan and cover. Before cooking, thaw completely, and top with cheese. Follow baking instructions as normal.
