Simple Avocado Cilantro Lime Dressing
Creamy and full of flavor, this easy to make avocado cilantro lime dressing is a great way to bring any boring salad to life.

Have you ever tried making your own salad dressings from scratch? I really love to make our own dressings and marinades because the store bought stuff always has hidden ingredients that aren’t necessary. You’d be surprised how much sugar is in a lot of the store bought stuff.

So instead of packing on unnecessary calories and carbohydrates with store bought dressings, I’ve been making them at home. One of our favorites is this creamy and flavorful avocado cilantro lime dressing. It has all of our favorite southwestern flavors and goes great on a grilled chicken salad. Check out the recipe below.

How to Make Avocado Cilantro Lime Dressing
It’s so easy to make this avocado lime dressing, you’ll wonder why you don’t make all of your salad dressings from scratch. Obviously you’ll start with the three main ingredients; avocado, lime and cilantro.

You’ll also need some fresh garlic cloves, salt and pepper, and greek yogurt (or sour cream). Pack all of those ingredients into a blender or food processor. I used a bullet blender for this, but a food processor or regular blender works great!

Blend or pulse until the mixture is completely smooth and creamy. If the avocado cilantro lime dressing seems too thick for your preference, it’s simple to thin it out. Add 1 tbsp of water and mix. Repeat until the dressing reaches your desired consistency.

We like our dressing on the thicker side, but some like it to be thinned out. Either way, this creamy avocado cilantro lime dressing will really jazz up a boring salad and take it to the next level!
