Let’s get real for a minute. I am crazy for pumpkin. Pumpkin decor, fake pumpkins, pumpkin coffee, pumpkin desserts. Lots of pumpkin desserts. So of course I have a pumpkin pie protein shake on the agenda to share with you this season.
This is a recipe I’ve been concocting for a bit. I love making protein shakes because not only can I curb my sweet tooth, but the high amount of protein in them helps keep me full.
My secret is the vanilla whey protein powder I use. It has 21 grams of protein per serving, but only 1 gram of sugar per serving. It’s hard for me to keep my sugar intake low when I LOVE sweets, so adding this protein powder to shakes and smoothies gives them a sweet flavor without adding a ton of sugar. I even use it to make protein bars and granola bars.
I make this protein shake as a snack, or more often, to eat for breakfast. Because let’s face it, I have zero time in the mornings to make breakfast. This easy pumpkin pie protein shake comes in handy because there’s few ingredients and it whips up in no time. Plus I can take it in the car. Win. Win. Win.
Don’t forget to pin it for later!

Thank you Laurie!!
That smoothie looks awesome1 I’ve been thinking about making a pumpkin smoothie lately
Thank you Valerie!
Yep! This still looks super yummy! Quick question for you: how does Greek yogurt change the taste (if at all). I currently use regular yogurt in my smoothies and I didn’t know if maybe he Greek yogurt would make them creamier. I’m totally new to the whole smoothie thing… well, making my own, that is. Lol.
I haven’t tried this recipe with regular yogurt, but in other recipes I feel like the regular yogurt makes it slightly less thick. The Greek yogurt definitely gives it a thicker texture, but also adds more protein. I don’t think it would really matter in the long run though, Greek vs. regular.
This looks great! I need to pick up some protein powder to try this. Pinning!
Thank you Rachael
